National Home Security Month, is generally abbreviated to NHSM, and started in 2013 as a response to increasing concerns that people are not considering the security of their properties as carefully as they should. Quickslide support the NHSM campaign every year in October to make homeowners aware that they odd to thoroughly check the security levels of their homes.
Three quarters of UK homes have very little security in place, so in time for the clocks to go back and shorter daylight hours, the campaign surrounding the National Home Security Month is an important reminder to make sure your home is as secure as it possibly can be.
Quickslide have invested heavily in ensuring that our Windows and Doors meet even greater security standards at no extra cost. For example, our uPVC Sliding Sash Windows are available with a comprehensive security upgrade that meets the latest PAS 24 standards.
Also, our Solidor Composite Doors come with a 48mm timber core and a high security Ultion lock as standard for added robustness and security. In the event of burglary by means of picking, drilling or snapping, the lock automatically detects the attack and will go into lock-down mode making it virtually impossible for the trespasser to continue the attack. For added peace of mind, a £1000 guarantee is offered by Ultion if the burglar manages to snap the lock and enter your home.
Quickslide have also worked in close partnership with leading hardware manufacturer, Caldwell to be able to offer the best in hardware for our range of Bi-folding Doors. Due to the large glass areas of sliding and folding patio doors, some homeowners tend to think of them as being an easy target. However, with our top of the range PAS24 approved hardware and glass upgrades such as toughened and laminated, we can offer an aesthetically pleasing door with none of the security concerns they so often come with.
