On Saturday, our team was pleased to welcome friends of Huddersfield Town to Quickslide HQ to support ‘Walk 4 Pounds’; a sponsored walk to raise much-needed funds for charities that we and our community hold very dear. Quickslide HQ was a pit stop between the start and finish. We’d arranged for drinks and snacks for the walkers, so they were fuelled for the rest of their journey. The walkers were raising money for The Jordan Sinnott Foundation Trust, Yorkshire Air Ambulance, and Huddersfield Town Foundation.

‘Walk 4 Pounds’ was in memory of Jordan Sinnott, a Bradford-born footballer who sadly lost his life following an attack in January 2020. Participants of the event walked their choice of a 25-mile or 15-mile route on Saturday 8th October. The day afterwards, Huddersfield Town AFC faced Hull City on the football field (and won!). The full 25 miles stretched from one of Sinnott’s former schools, then past his junior club Guiseley FC and Bradford City’s home at Valley Parade. The walk concluded at Huddersfield Town’s John Smith’s Stadium. The Jordan Sinnott Foundation Trust aims to help grassroots clubs by paying for equipment, transport, and kit, as well as offering grants to children and young adults facing barriers.

Quickslide has long been an avid supporter of Huddersfield Town AFC, sponsoring games and community projects over the years. We are frequent guests at their matches, and we even brought some of our team to Wembley to watch the final against Nottingham Forest back in May! Over the years, we’ve sponsored Man of the Match multiple times to show our support for the team and its players. Here’s Harry Toffolo sharing a few words as we chose him as Man of that Match back in May.
