The Thirsk development consisted of five plots, featuring a mix of four and five bedroom homes. The project was delivered over a 19 month period and focused on creating spacious, high quality properties designed for modern family living. Placed in an ideal location just north of York, the development has proven popular with buyers looking for superior craftsmanship and thoughtful design.

Rouse Homes first became aware of Quickslide following a recommendation from site manager Eddie McCarthy, after experiencing ongoing issues with a previous bifold door supplier. The team were looking for a more reliable partner who can offer consistent product performance alongside dependable customer support. In came Quickslide to save the day! Rouse Homes has now been working with Quickslide since 2021 and continues to value the quality of the products and the level of service provided.

For the Thirsk project, Quickslide supplied the full window and door package, including 60 uPVC casement windows, 13 composite doors and 12 aluminium bifold doors. The bifold doors in particular stood out, with a polyamide thermal break integrated into the frames and integrated trickle vents helping to manage airflow and reduce moisture. From a practical point of view, the products perform exactly as expected, in line with the latest new build regulations, which is essential on a busy construction programme with modern homes.

Once designs were finalised, the buying process was straightforward and efficient, allowing the project to progress without unnecessary delays. This combination of ease of ordering, reliable lead times and product quality helped support a smooth build from start to finish.
