Main Responsibilities

  • Input and reconcile daily cashbooks
  • Manage and reconcile company credit card transactions
  • Process CIS returns in line with HMRC requirements
  • Complete VAT reporting and support month-end processes
  • Handle collections and payments, including card transactions and online banking
  • Reconcile transactions against sales and purchase ledgers
  • Produce reports for cashbooks, collections, utilities, and exceptions
  • Support credit control and purchase ledger activities
  • Contact customers regarding outstanding balances and process deposits
  • Assist with payroll tasks such as timesheets
  • Support invoicing, incoming calls, and general administrative duties

You’ll play a key part in keeping our finance operations running smoothly, from maintaining accurate records and managing payments to supporting collections and providing wider administrative support across the business. The Necessary Skills, Qualifications and Experience include:

  • Support invoicing, incoming calls, and general administrative duties
  • Familiarity with CIS and basic bookkeeping principles
  • Confident in using MS Excel and accounting software (Sage or Xero preferred)
  • Clear and professional phone manner
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills
  • Knowledge of VAT regulations
  • Background in construction or service-based environments (CIS relevance)
  • Team player with a flexible, can-do attitude
