Main Responsibilities
- Financial Administration:
- Input and reconcile daily cashbooks.
- Manage and reconcile company credit card transactions.
- Process CIS (Construction Industry Scheme) returns in line with HMRC compliance.
- Handle collections and payments.
- Make and receive card payments.
- Reconcile transactions against the sales & purchase ledger
- Process approved payments through online banking.
- Reporting:
- VAT reporting
- Prepare reports for cashbook transactions, collections, and exceptions.
- Assist in the month-end process and maintain real-time reporting tools.
- Report on utilities
- General Administration:
- Answer incoming phone calls and direct queries professionally.
- Print invoices and manage basic packaging and dispatch duties.
- Cover credit control and purchase ledger duties
- Cover duties ( as required ):
- Contact clients regarding outstanding balances.
- Process card payments and post customer deposits.
- Support payroll processing (e.g., timesheets).
- Step in to assist with invoicing and general admin tasks.

You’ll be instrumental in maintaining financial accuracy, handling payment processes, supporting collections, and ensuring key administrative tasks are completed with precision.
The Necessary Skills, Qualifications and Experience include:
- Proven experience in finance or accounts support.
- Familiarity with CIS and basic bookkeeping principles.
- Confident in using MS Excel and accounting software (Sage or Xero preferred).
- Clear and professional phone manner
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
- Knowledge of VAT regulations
