When this traditional home in Cheshire, had a makeover, the owners Debbie and Peter wanted modern double-glazing preferably in a low maintenance frame material. Debbie and Peter spent over 6 months researching different styles and materials. They were looking to replace their old timber windows and the high levels of maintenance required of timber led them to look for alternative materials. PVCu seemed like the obvious choice, but Peter could not get fully comfortable with the idea of plastic. Although, the look and feel of Deceuninck’s stunning PVCu Flush system nearly had him convinced.
As the couple were researching they were asking friends and family for recommendations. They went to visit a friend’s house that had Quickslide windows installed a couple of years ago. The workmanship, quality of the windows and the recommendation from the friend led Debbie and Peter to Quickslide.
To find out more about us and to get a hands-on experience of our complete product range, Debbie and Peter decided to visit our showroom and production facility in Brighouse. They spent the best part of a Saturday morning with us and learned that we manufacture as well as work in partnership with local installers to install the products. The full Quickslide service includes survey, design, manufacture and installation. This was exactly the sort of reassurance Debbie and Peter had been looking for. Our Project Manager, Jessica Saxby gave a demonstration of our range and went through the benefits of the different styles and materials… And that’s when our stunning flush casement window in aluminium caught Peter’s eye.
“Your team were so helpful and knowledgeable. In particular, Jessica Saxby was wonderful to deal with” said Debbie.
Any one of our aluminium products is available in any colour and that’s when the windows and doors really came to life. With the thought of being able to pick between 1000 colours, Debbie and Peter started to play around with different options making sure the new windows and doors would perfectly match their beautiful home. In the end, the choice was a subtle agate grey with a slight hint of olive green presenting the perfect contrast to the red brick.
Project Manager, Jessica went to Debbie and Peter’s house to complete the survey ensuring that every detail was accounted for to be able to produce an accurate quote. A couple of changes later and Debbie and Peter were happy to proceed with the order. Our installer, Paul took on the job and together with his colleague they spent a couple of weeks removing the old timber windows and installing the new flush aluminium windows in agate grey. To this, Debbie added:
“Paul asked if he could park his camper van on our drive and stay each weeknight to avoid all the driving – what a fantastic attitude and work ethic. Paul and his colleague were fantastic.“
“Thank you for doing such a great job. I love just going in and out of the front door – it’s so well engineered!”
The installation is fully complete and not enough with that, Debbie and Peter returned to Quickslide for more windows as they decided to replace the windows in the outbuildings too. To anyone looking to replace their current windows and doors, Debbie and Peter would highly recommend you to visit our factory and showroom. The site visit made all the difference they said.
