Glass Team Leader




Sun – Thur: 10:00pm – 5:55am




We currently have a vacancy for a Glass Team Leader working on the night shift Sunday – Thursday 10.00pm – 5.55am, reporting to the Production Supervisor. The successful applicant must be able to demonstrate their ability to lead by example, have good organisational skills, with the ability to problem solve and prioritise workloads whilst leading a team.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage Production output for your shift, ensuring the daily targets are achieved by the team
  • Ensure production quality is to the highest standard
  • Health & Safety Management; Ensure staff are working safely and wearing required PPE where required
  • Report any accidents, incidents or near misses to supervisors immediately.
  • Responsible for informing and expediting critical data.  This will cover labour, machines and materials as well as line balancing, reporting any issues to the Production Supervisor.
  • Carrying out performance reviews with staff and returns to works, ensuring that absences are reported to supervisor on a daily basis
  • Planning daily schedules in advance of the day, organising staff resourcing and escalating any issues that may arise.
  • Be able to give live reports on achievements/outputs and deviations from required goals and targets.
  • Attend weekly reviews with your supervisor/line manager
  • Review systems/processes to achieve continuous improvement in your department.
  • Addressing key issues such as downtime and ensuring that any downtime is valid.
  • Manage stock levels within the department, including ordering, of new, damaged and rejected units
  • Carrying out final inspections on CenSolutions
  • Ensuring any glass recuts are carried out
  • Carry out any other reasonable management request when required.

  • First Aid trained or willing to become a First Aider
