NOTE: Multiple windows can be coupled or formed into 90 degree & 120-150 variable degree bays.
Fire Escape Option:
Regulations require a clear opening of 0.33m2 with a minimum dimension of 450mm in both height and width. This is needed to meet the criteria for fire escape design (commonly first floor bedrooms and above). If this is not possible then the option, demonstrated in the video below, can be used; The special lower sash tilts upwards to provide the extra space required.
NOTE: The fire escape lower sash will not slide upwards or tilt for cleaning as per our standard sliding sash.
